Why Test your vehclies

In Dubai, Motor vehicle licences need to be renewed annually. After buying a vehicle, once the first formalities are over, it has to be re-registered either through selected insurance companies or by visiting a Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) customer service centre or approved vehicle testing facility center. Our vehicle test capabilities are extensive and range from motorcycles to Class 8 commercial vehicles and everything in between and our vehicle testing services can provide invaluable resources and support to you.

For the first 3 years new cars and motorcycles are exempt from the yearly vehicle inspection but all vehicles over 3 years old must undergo an annual road worthiness test in which the Vehicle should be inspected and tested as per the standards and measures set by the respective Dubai Roads and Transport Authority. If the vehicle has failed the test then, you have to repair the vehicle mechanical faults and come again for the re-test after repairing the fault within 2 weeks or 4 weeks to process the renewal of Vehicle Registrations.

Testing Duration

At RAC online booking can be availed for the testing service. We accommodate customers based on the early confirmed appointment through our online booking system. Ideally it takes 30-45 minutes for vehicle Testing.
The vehicles can be brought to the inspection facilities either by the owners or additional options includes hiring a company to collect and return the car or arranging for a call out inspection with RAC Vehicle Testing Center.

Approximately 45-60 minutes is quoted for the testing process subject to a testing bay being available on arrival for those attending in person as walk-in.
